This game is like an extravagant playground of social stealth. Today your tasked with wearing a clown suit, and armed with only a banana, a fish, and a perfectly silenced concealable pistol, you must take out 3 different high value targets without getting gunned down like a dog. Agent 47 is the only one left, but boy is he making a last stand. Outside of indie games, they just don’t make big stealth games anymore. The online only DRM still bothers me, but I am forced to look past it, cause the games are that good. Not even mentioning a whole ass rogue lite mode they added, which adds dozens of hours of fun, on top of the dozens of hours of fun already available. But now that all 3 games are all put together, it’s impossible not to recommend it. Add onto that all the extra stuff like challenges and elusive targets, and it’s hard not to recommend this title. From a luxurious tower in Dubai, to an underground dance club in Berlin all of them very unique and very fun. The last level is the worst they’ve done so far, but the other ones are fantastic. But who cares about any of that, it’s all about the big, intricate sandbox levels. Story isn’t fantastic, but the worldbuilding is fun. As for the third game specifically, it’s pretty much as good as the previous two. Don't think I'll ever replay this level unironically.ġ0h 30m PlayedThis is more of a review of the whole trilogy altogether, because it’s all available in one package now, called Hitman: World of Assassination. This was more of a linear action sequence to the final cutscene. Yet another map I don't ever want to leave. SASO is super rewarding on this map, especially if you're good with a sniper. Interesting plots and small side plots here and there. Big map, but small and open enough to take out both Vidal and Yates quickly. Mendoza: 10/10 My absolute favourite map of the trilogy. I do concede that some parts of the map were unused, but taking out both targets is super satisfying and fun. Two major zones to attack, a fun way to get the targets in the same area, and multiple different ways to travel between them. Chongqing: 8.5/10 A map a lot of people hate, but I actually loved. Also, they always follow the same path, so it gets a bit predictable. cool I guess? I guess having basically NPCs as your targets made them less interesting. I didn't really care much for the map - a rave warehouse is. Because of this, it makes the map very interesting, and very fun to SASO since there's so many different viable routes. Instead of defined, specific targets, you had a pool of 10 agents to kill 6 from. The only thing I wish this map had was another target - it would've made SASO so much more fun than the one we got, since there's only one target and there's only one real viable way to do SASO. Carlisle manor was a joy to explore, and the mystery sideplot was so fun. Map itself is fine, pretty gorgeous hotel and the opening cinematic is awesome. SASO is a bit frustrating because of this. Stuyvesant has a very limited window in which hes easy to take out, Ingram is a bit harder and doesn't really have any window imo. Taking down two of the partners at the start of the game was interesting decision at first, but it makes more sense later on. I hate vertical maps, but this one felt a bit more open than the others. 133h 24m ProgressMap Ratings: Dubai: 7.5/10 A good starting map.
